I've also sent off for a copy of this. On the second page, you can also "UNTICK" the agreement to terms and conditions box before clicking the "Just send me the book" button. Now, how useful is that?

Be aware that this is Grolier that you are dealing with. A company that are not shy to send in the debt collectors when they feel it necessary and employ some bully boy tactics to extract money that they believe is owed to them. Eyes wide open......and then the window licker said to me...0 -
thanks op will order and give to my mum she is a teacher and can always do with books.

Although I'm not for one minute disputing what you say, I just wanted to add a comment from the other side of the coin just to balance things out.
I've been buying from Grolier for 8 years now. It's true that they do like to try to persuade you to buy but I have only ever had good service, even after telling them I would never be buying any more of their books other than the year book.
I told them I didn't want phoned, I didn't want books I hadn't ordered and I didn't want loads of junk mail from them either. I haven't had any bother and I only ever buy the year book now to continue what is now my daughter's collection.
There's also been the odd occasion when I've overlooked the invoice
and paid late, but it's never been an issue thankfully.
Maybe I've just been lucky, lol.Herman - MP for all!

aliasojo,
likewise, I've never had any problems with Grolier. But others have. A google or similar search of Grolier and complaints gets quite a few hits!
BTW, I saw the film today. It was okay but I got the impression it was very much for the US market consumption. I liked the oblique references to other films....and then the window licker said to me...0 -

i never knew about this company before this...i'll await their response to my complaint but it is outrageous to be taken into a contract with no acknowledgement/chance to opt out....BAD ... VERY BADThomas Jefferson: "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."
