This is one reason I don't quite believe the government 'official' unemployment figure.

Very true. When we had a discussion here before and included all the sick people, over 50's, etc. we settled on a true figure of about 8 million unemployed.

I know from my job seeking attempts that there are so so many people going for vacancies that it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack!

One person I spoke to said that a similar vacancy advertised a couple of years ago, attracted 3 applicants.....one advertised a few months ago doing a very similar position, attracted 500 applicants.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I've not bothered looking for work in the end.

I just sort of lounge about at home watching daytime TV instead.

    It'll be summer soon.

Good luck with this. I read the vacancy details for this and it really is a dream job. I didn't apply but wish I had....
