For those who wish to buy a legal, physical CD of the new U2 album, there's a press advert on Sunday (Sunday Mirror) advertising the CD (released Monday 1st March 2009) in Morrison's for £6 whilst stocks last T

There is no mention of a minimum spend in store to qualify for this album, so presumably open to all

I am assuming that this will be the standard version of the album (there are 3 apparently)

Best online offer I can see this morning is play.com £8.95 (don't forget quidco)

Sainsbury's will be doing the album for £6.97 if you buy it with any other chart CD. I didn't find out how much it will be on it's own though.

Although, with the way our leading public service broadcaster is promoting them at the moment, I'm surprised they aren't actually giving them away with every licence renewal. :rolleyes:

On the whole I'd agree, however I think Moment of Surrender from this album is a fantastic song. Well worth 69p! I haven't heard any other songs from the album though, so haven't been willing to fork out £6 to buy them all.

My OH is a die hard U2 fan and she isn't keen on it. I do think U2 are over hyped and nice of BBC to show some bias the other day

Shame they ignore another UK band which is very successful around the world (100 million album sales) which is almost ignored over here by the media despite them moving on from the 80's music many years ago
