The world's absolute poor may be the most vulnerable but I think that there are many more millions who are in no way to blame.

I would guess the only people NOT to blame for this crisis are the worlds absolute poor and babies.

That implies that all adults who are not poor are to blame. I resent that implication, as do many other sensible people who did not get themselves into debt they could not afford to repay.

So what exactly have my 11 and 10 year old done to harbour blame?

Also, why am I (and others like me - ordinary working people who are not greedy and have, in fact, spent years being looked down the nose at by people who own every material possession they can get their hands on when I chose not to) to blame?

The only thing I think I could have done was, in 2002 when I (a layperson) thought everything was getting out of hand, was to become an MP, get elected at the last election, and then rise to Chancellor very, very quickly. We all know how likely that was with these posts being stitched up between themselves.

i dont have any debt whatsoever i pay my car insurance in cash dont have monthly payments on credit and have never ever had the need for a credit card.....they must hate me..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

This would be fine if we were all to blame. Fortunately or unfortunately, we are NOT all to blame.

We certainly are not all to blame. We are however all paying for it.

I am not to blame at all - I will end up paying more tax or losing my job.
My mate could be considered partly to blame - her husband is in construction - they are just about to lose their home and have to start again age 42.
Fred Goodwin (apologies, but I cannot bring myself to call him Sir) - who clearly does harbour some blame - gets a stupid ££££ pension and continues to live in a mansion.

And we have a Socialist Government?
