The prize: The winners will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at the five-star Hotel Phoenicia. Set at the entrance to Valletta — a Unesco World Heritage Site — with unparalleled views of the Grand Harbour, it has recently been refurbished, and facilities include the award-winning Phoenix restaurant, several bars and seven acres of terraced gardens. The pool is overlooked by one of the stone bastions built by the Knights of St John to defend the harbour.
Return flights will be with Air Malta, which has two services a day from Heathrow and Gatwick, up to eight a week from Manchester, three a week from Birmingham and one a week from Glasgow. Hot meals, complimentary drinks, an in-flight film and a 20kg baggage allowance come as standard; a new online service allows passengers to check in up to 23 hours before departure.
The prize must be taken before July 17, 2009, excluding public holidays, subject to availability.
