(How they missed that one I don't know!)

They just charge you commission on the exchange rate instead.

Go with Nationwide, and you will get more €/£

I've banked online with the Halifax for years now, its great, it shows all your accounts with them, it allows you to transfer funds to accounts that allow it and view balances to those which don't.

    Set standing orders up

Pay bills do bank transfers as long as you have the destination account details/sortcode etc then its off you go.

Only time i've had to ring them was for change of password cuz i locked myself out. Was back in within minutes of call.

After opening up an account with the Ulster in 2004 I opted for their service and its utter kak. I'm hoping to ditch the account in the next few days :D

    Abbey current account for me.
I've had an overdraft for the past 5 years and no charges ever.

I have a business account with the Ulster Bank for particular reasons. I've already arranged the transfer to the Alliance & Leicester.

It's the worst effort at a bank (and that includes the infamous First Trust) I've ever seen.

I get charged if I sneeze inside the place. Their online banking is truely primitive, which they charge for (?!?).

The place is packed everytime I go in.
It's a very sad indictment of the people of Northern Ireland if they bank with the Ulster Bank out of choice.
The same people probably have a Black & White TV.
