Reducing Cleaning Products

Hi - I am on a mission to reduce the amount of cleaning products and have been really good and not bought any Flash spray for weeks:beer: I am addicted to the smell not the product realy:confused:

Anyway what do i *need* - i have concentrated stardrops which i have mixed in a spray bottle with water and some orange essential oil - do i *need* tea tree oil ? or is there no need for anti bac?

I also have a spray bottle with bleach and water for the toilets - how much bleach should i use in it ?

I have vinegar (massive 5l) but i think i will just use this for windows as i hate the smell -again what's the water / vinegar ratio ?

Will these 3 things clean everything ?

Should i have a spray bottle of neat stardrops and if so what would this be suitable for ?

I like the house to smell clean so is there something i can add to the mix to achieve this ?

Thanks peeps.:T

Oh also just read you can use stardrops in carpet cleaners - what would the dilution be there ?
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

I'm not really sure of the ratio's but just thought I'd share a 'recipe' for fabric conditioner. (it is on here somewhere but can't rememnber who it's from.) I used to use just vinegar as fabric softener, which works, but no smell really. But... if you mix 1 part vinegar with 1 part bicarb of Soda ( i got it from Savers but have seen it in Wilko's too) and 2 parts water it leaves clothes smelling quite fresh I think the bicarb works as a deoderiser. You can use it neat on tiles and sinks, etc too.

The vinegar and bicarb will 'fizz' so mix it over the sink and you'll need to give it a good shake before each use cos the bicarb will 'settle' in the bottom of the bottle. HTH
