Hi does anyone know how much you pay for the pension scheme in the NHS im starting a new post this monday part time 20 hrs per wk Thankyou

Hi, I pay into this scheme and have a feeling that my contribution is around 5-6%, the employer contribution is I think around 13% ish.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0

NHS pension contribution rates vary depending on how much you earn - based on full time salary rates as follows:
Pensionable Pay Contribution Rate
Up to £20,224 5%
£20,225 - £66,789 6.5%
£66,790 - £105,318 7.5%
£105,319+ 8.5%
Your employer puts in 14%.
Don't forget your contribution is before tax, so at the lowest level it only costs you about 3%.0
