hi all, has anyone got any ideas of what i can buy/make for my very akward-to-buy -for sister in law for her 16th? i can never keep up with what music, fashion etc she is in to, one minute shes girlie, then shes gothy, then shes trendy..... i have made hampers of smellies, make up etc for her before and want to do something a bit different but no idea what. she used to go boxing but i don't think she does that any more. the only things i know she likes doing is listening to her ipod and 'hanging around with mates', she is into boys and drinking as most girls that gae are but don't want to encourage that too much lol! she is going to college in september and wants to be a children nurse when she gets older. thanks

you could get her an itunes voucher, that way she can choose what music to buy herself if her tastes change quickly. You could maybe get her some accessories for her ipod, like earphones or a cover?
Also, you could make her a hamper of things for college e.g. pens, folders, laptop skin etc although this may be more suitable for when she actually goes to college, rather than her birthday.
will keep thinking and will post any further ideas later0 -
they are all really good ideas, thanks

thanks for the ideas, i like the engraved nurses watch but i will probably keep that for when she is 18 and finished a-levels about to go and do nursing training (to make sure she hasn't changed her mind in the meantime!)0

I know it seems like a cop out, but as the mother of 15 and 16 yo. All they really want is money.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
