i wanna sell roof slates

may be having re-roof soon
would i be able to sell them, or is roofer supposed to have them
if i can sell them, who could i sell them to, i mean who would be interested in buying them, would they be worth much?

From what I've seen of houses being re-roofed you'll be lucky if there is any left in tact - they normally get hurled from the roof to the garden below!

As for who you could sell them too, your neighbours with matching tiles might be interested?

If your tiles are still good, then why not ask for a quote using as many of your old ones as possible and onlyl replacing the broken ones?

The best person to ask maybe the roofer you get in, he will always be getting jobs where he has to replace a few slates and people want them matching.
If the roofer thinks he can re-sell them he would be more inclined to remove them carefully. When we had the roof done theguy told us how expensive old origional were, he advised that we reuse as many as he could.

Depending on the age of your property your local reclamation yard might be interested in buying them?

Look in yellow pages and give them a call - you might be surprised what they will fetch if they are old.
