Hellooooooo - I'm back from Manc ! Everyone is even lovelier in real life and I had a fab time. Sorry no photos from me but I am sure some will appear later. The pub was packed and VERY noisy- Rugby blaring from about 3 or 4 televisions so have a bad head now - nothing to do with alcohol of course  - felt sad to leave early and having to say goodbye to everyoneNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. As theres so few people around I can actually keep up with the chat thread. Usually there seems to be about 6 conversations going on a once!anyone been on eurostar?
I'm going in a week but not been before. Been on the eurotunnel loads but this time found a good deal and am going to Paris so thought it would be easy on the eurostar (sadly I can't carry back as much wine as we ususally pack into the car). Bit annoyed that I got an email from AA today offering bogof eurostar tickets when I've already booked but thats life.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Bookie was fine I think - but I nearly wasn't  I got there about 2 ish and no sign of anyone who looked familiar. Anyway after a few mins I rang Bookie - hers is the only number I have- and she had just arrived at the Hotel with Pania. Then a lady approached me and said 'DFW ? '-It was Webitha and she was wondering where everyone was too ! Boy was I glad to see her ! We had a chat for a few minutes and the next thing the posse arrived ! Everyone at once ! (Well nearly ) So phew - and I thought I was late !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
