hi cathy...thanks for the support..glad to see another accountant (I'm CIPFA) which I studied for because I'm in the public sector (most of my friends from Uni ended up doing ACA)...what about you?? I qualified in 2007 (passed my case study in Dec 2006) and I'm so glad I never have to do another exam ever again..

Is it you that is also chair of the GB for their local school?? I work (very part-time) as a Clerk...only a couple of hours in the evening maybe every six weeks, but its enjoyable
I am only part qualified, time barred!!
Worked in private sector for 14 yrs, more flexible.

I am chair of schools PTA and vice chair of GB, really enjoy it and will continue when Beth leaves primary school in July.

  • I can see why you enjoy it cathy - I've only been clerking for a few months but it's a real chance to give something to the community..I know someone as well who's carried on being a governor at the Primary school her son went to, because she enjoys it that much..

Off to do some serious comping...and watch Ant and Dec (good luck to all those waiting for calls)

and wokkies, enjoy the chocs...I bet been a legal secretary was interesting (I'm really nosey, and not too much excitement in spreadsheets)..
June wins: 2 x Robbie Williams tickets, iPad mini, £200 skatehut voucher :)

A huge thank you to all posters xx
