Now Katie's excitement is over can I come and cry? my puter is dead, it has ceased to be, it is no more, it's an ex computer :sob:

We're going to have to share and I hate it, I sit near the window normally and i'm in his horrid dark corner and his puter is horrid and I havent got my spreadsheet and, and, and.....

We can't afford new so it's going to be for a while, fortunately my DS works as a volunteer IT tech at a local charity that builds puters from old parts for people on benefit etc so he should be allowed to make me one for about £100 but it wont be soon as I havent got £100 :sobs some more:

    Sympathy please :sobs incontrollably:
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

Awww Nicky, this is so annoying  This happened to me twice earlier in Feb. Luckily I had a recovery disk that got it back to life after many many attempts. Do you have one that you can try??? I hope you win a computer soon x

Tulip, well done for your win :T :T mmm a nice exta treat x

Cathy, hope it is a nice win ....

Wokkies, this is not very encouraging, is it? I thought those who study are entitled to some sort of grant or pay of some kind? Did you ask on the students' board???

Just got up :o so will have a strong coffee to wake up
  • Wokkies can't your son get the other type of JSA (not sure what it's called sorry) or IS or TC of some kind? They won't have him live on £30 a week I'm sure of that.

Looks like it's gonna rain. And so far I've only managed to rake up the leaves from the back garden! Still need to weed like crazy (not done anything since the Autumn - the shame), straighten the borders and dig over the soil. And OH has just got the bike out which is much more appealing!

Lunch first though... toasted hot cross buns. :)
Life is all about the journey.

So The Mighty Whites are playing Trafford Redsox in The FA Vase today and the great British public get an all too rare opportunity to see the Cottagers in action.

I'm thinking it will be a 0 : 0 draw with the Redsox giving the Lilywhites a kicking in the replay but I dream of a Fulham victory and Wembly appearance. I was there for the rather sterile final in 1975 where Fulham lost to West Ham.

I wasn't on the pitch. I knew it was all over.
