Evening all.
Just a quick hello.
Might go and do some comps, but am shattered from work. T'is hard finishing nights on one morning then getting up the next morning for a long day.
Day off tomorrow though, but it's the day of attempting to put together the scorpion costume:eek:

dont blame you with spiders :eek:
although i was ok when i worked with tarantulas etc,
i dont know what you could do,
id hope that when you do house visits people would be happy to stick pet in dif room, have fingers crossed for you people will oblige.

Gingerchick - I'm finding it hard too! Just started work experience/placement this week, and thinking how everyone does it week in, week out!!
Soooo tiring!!!
I live at home, so get home at quarter to 5, have tea waiting for me (most times), then feel like sleeping, but watch telly, come on here close to midnight, and then go to sleep...god knows what its like if you have kids, and home to look after, and work!!

If you can, or are allowed to pick the days/hrs you work, you should spread it out over the week, so you're body relaxes, cos sound like you're not getting sleep you need if you're working long days!

i was a workaholic when i was younger, n id go out after, n when i got horse fit her in too,
be out from 6am til midnight or kip at friends house,

Hi Breeze, and nonamewoman!!

Yep, job will involve lot of home visits...lecturers have been social workers themselves, and said we have a right to be safe, so have right to ask owners to move any pets when we visit...shouldn't be for too long...visits last from 15 mins to 2hrs!
If they refuse for some reason, we have right to refuse to visit house, and maybe some other social worker who is happy with animals can visit instead!!

I know this might be a problem for some people, but all the lecturers we've had have told us the bad experiences they've had with animals...nearly all have been bitten or hurt by animals at some point...think that scared us abit too!!:eek:

When i get home...keep running to check if i've had any post...or anything that might remotely resemble a win...but none so far!!
I think if i did have one, it'd cheer me up after a hard day at work...cos some of the cases we deal with are really sad/stressful...and i wanna switch off when i get home!!

sometimes it feels like I'm at work all the time, but then other times feels like I'm never there.:rolleyes:
What's keeping me going this week is that I've got another annual leave week next week, so a whole week of comping.:j
Nah, I've got loads of stuff to do round the house, but I'm sure I'll find plenty of time to do some comping.:D
