I'm going to a family do next week and would like to bring something with me. I'd like to use my food processor if possible as I won't have a lot of time after work. Any ideas? Thanks

I'll get in first with a batch of Twinks hobnobsIt matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.

Thanks wogglemaker but I've made those a few times now - want them to think I'm brill in the kitchen and can make loads of different stuff! Also want to learn to make something new anyway. I usually stick to banana bread or twinks hobnobs.
PS love your username, havn't heard of woggles for years.0 -
For easiness but look lovely what about cupcakes??? You could ice them really prettily.
Rocky Road or tiffin are easy and impressive looking too.Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have.0 -
Why not go for a larder booster pack, such as HM pesto (try rocket as an alternative flavour) infused oils/ vodka (depending on the nature of the household !) or spiced nuts, etc. They're the kind of things that are great to receive, look impressive (despite being relatively inexpensive) and are relatively long lasting. They also take almost no time to do.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Do you have a bread maker? If you have, how about some fresh home made sundried tomato and parmesan bread or a nice fruit loaf
You could also try making chocolates, use an ice cream tray as a mould add nuts, cherries etc.Choux pastry is easy to make and can make an impressive dessertBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi This is my 1st ever post on hereHave tried Bannoffee Pie? It is soooo easy and ever so delish,.
ake a biscuit crumb base, either digestive, hob nobs or ginger nuts crushedwith butter, Line a baking dish, (something like a flan dish is ideal ) then a layer of Nestle caramel, found with the condensed milk at supermarket. Next add a layer of bananas (sliced) then a layer of whipped cream, finish with a dusting of chocolate or cocoa powder or crumbled flake bar. Needs no cooking apart from melting the butter for the base takes about an hour or less to put together. Sorry not much help on quanities as I tend to guess amounts and it also depends how big you want it.0 -
