    >the average age at the Bristol site is 45+!<

Interesting. My organisation had an 'away day' recently and it was, correctly, pointed out that 80% of the staff where paunchy, balding white men aged 35-50.

I wonder if that is the 'dream team' of the last of the baby-boomers with a half-decent education and work-ethic before the generation-X slackers came out of the dumbed down schools? These yoofs are either in McJobs or on the dole while EEs do the hard grafting.

Of course, when the depression culls the jobs of those over 45 (expensive pensions, high salary), Britain will be placing its future in hands of the half-wits who idolise Ant & Dec and their ilk.

England is finished. If you can, get out now.

I work for Rolls-Royce and have to say what recession? we are so busy and just keep winning orders also we make profits which is unusual these days.
Just been told we are not getting our full bonus though because £880 million profit was not enough.

I've heard it's not all so rosy for RR in certain areas. Hopefully not too bad, but friends there have told me this...
