Help needed re- college and benefits

hi, my partner and i are currently on jobseekers income based and he is wanting to go to college but we need to know what will happen to benefits etc? we have 2 children aged 6 years and 6 months. I wasnt to sure if we needed to claim income support instead of jsa when he goes to college?
any help will be great thankyou

    thankyou, its a 17 week course to begin with and is for 2 hrs a week at college but also about 2 hours a week a a work placement

    That is fine as long as it is not over 16 hours a week then you are fine, but you do have to fill out a form at the Jobcentre to let them know anyway.
    No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

  • You can still claim for JSA if your other half is still looking for work whilst he is on the course-as cat says, he will need to complete a form at the Jobcentre to reflect this.
