Somerfield was bought out just before Christmas and, according to one of their staff yesterday, appears to be getting out of electricals. Certainly they had some cheap stuff, including £25 printers and halfway decent 6Mp cameras for £50. Some nice thermostatic (stay hot) kettles for £15, too.

Don't know if this is nationwide, but probably worth a look.

I meant to add, although nothing to do with electricals, that my store at least has the normally expensive Ch'ti French beer in 750ml bottles for £1.29. It's nearly 6% and very smooth...

If you have Kwiksave near you which has been sold to BTTF you might be in with a chance of 1/2 price electricals. Today my local one had Dyson cylinders for £49, Morphy Richard toasters £5, Mini hi fi's £11. They had also had car radios but not sure on the price.

In my local somerfield they had (among other things) deicer, bottle openers, foil cutters, bag clips, anadin extra 12 tablets and ice scrapers all for 20p each

I saw, in Fleetwood, a bbq fork that was also a digital thermometer. For the inside of the meat dummy not the ambiant air temperature. I did not buy it because I do not bbq much but when I got home I realised it could ne used for any meat ,poultry or fish dish and I kicked myself for not buying it. It was £5.
