Hi,
I paid into a scottish widows cont pension through a previous employer for under two years. I thought i could claim back my contributions which amounted to £920. When I contacted SCottish widows they said I also had to claim it back within under two years of starting it (I was a month late). Is this right?? any help would be most appreciated. Out of work at the moment and for the first time ever finding it really tough to get another job.
Thanks much

I don't think thats entirely true, I'm sure I claimed back several years later when I was in a similar position.0

I dont think its right. Normally with money purchase schemes you have no period you can get your money out. The two year thing applies to certain final salary schemes and not money purchase schemes.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
