Guys
Can anyone help? A few days ago, for the first time ever, I ordered a copy of my credit report from Experian (free of course) and to my horror found that I had been associated with my Ex financially. He left the country 18 months ago with horrendous debts that he has obviously dumped.
I contacted Experian and they were great and this morning confirmed that they were removing our financial association (which it would appear he did fraudulantly anyway..Not a lot can be done about that!) However, they told me to contact CallCredit and Equifax and ask them to do the same.
Here's the problem, they all appear to want me to purchase their credit report before they will help. I phoned CallCredit and they don't have any humans to talk to and Equifax say online that I need their credit reference number before they can help. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this without forking out??
Cheers

I paid £2 per organisation (Callcredit, Equifax and Experian) to get copies of my credit reports following the advice in the blurb on here but I think its possible to do it for free if you register with the organisations and cancel your registration after receiving your reports but before payments are taken. See the info re. credit reports. Good luck.0
