Salaries, what your credit histories are like, any outstanding debt, whether you want a fixed/tracker, how long you want the deal to last, term of mortgage required. Even then I doubt if anyone here can tell you the best deal to take - have you thought of changing adviser if you have problems with yours?0

We already have a mortgage in principal thing, so we know that we'll be able to get one.
Our credit historys are fine, no problems there
The only debt is one of mine - I have £300 left to pay off of a halifax loan.
We dont want the deal to last longer than 5years, preferably only 2 or 3.

You could look at some of the comparison sites, maybe?
Regarding 2/3/5 year deals - remember that prices are still going down and that your LTV might be higher than 90% when you come to get a new deal. Also interest rates might be sky high by the time you come to renew. I personally am waiting for a 5 year deal around the 4% mark as I don't think 2 or 3 year deals are worth it.0 -
We have a OneAccount mortgage it is a combined mortgage / bank account and works well for us. The interest rate is slightly higher but all our money goes into reducing the mortgage. There are alternatives, we have had mortgages with Abbey and the Woolwich but neither of them were as flexiblle.
If I wa starting out again, I would go for a straight repayment mortgage.Win Dec 2009 - In the Night Garden DVD : Nov 2010 - Paultons Park Tickets :0
