Hi,
My grandfather is going to be 90 next month and I was just after some suggestions as a present as haven't a clue what to get him. Any ideas welcome.

Maybe a This is your life style photo book. I did this for my Dads 50th and it really went down a storm. Nothing professional but he loved the effort and time that went into it and I enjoyed looking through all the old photos x0

Yes sounds like a good idea although think someone else in the family is doing a photo book.0

The only other thing i can think of is a time capsule sort of hamper. Put together (if you can find them) things that will remind him of different times in his life say a school tie, his fav sweet, fav music from certain ages, something to remind him of when his children were born etc. Would be great to hear all the stories that he will have to remember to attach to each thing in the time capsule. Would be something that would be enjoyable for everyone0

Another thing is to get a big picture frame or canvas and put pics of all the family on there and have everyone to write a birthday message to go with it. Would be fab for him to then display - would be like a huge card (but would not then be exclusively off you I suppose)0

How about a nice journal with prompts for stories for him to write up if he is still up to it. I wish we had done this with my Grandad as so many of his stories will be forgotten & he was such a great storyteller (he got an OBE for saving Montgomery & various other well known people!) I am looking to do this for my parents so our family history (the personal stuff not the bits you can search out when someone is gone) can be passed down.
Sorry for the long post
