Does anyone have a membership where three months notice has to be given?
I sent an email to them cancelling my membership ofF their website in December without any acknowledgement. Not the first time this has happened to me. Although, strangely enough they dont have trouble dealing with applications!!
I have since discovered they didnt receive it!! and I have to give three months notice.
Are Bannatyne's known for these scams?
Anyone got any advice on this?

all gyms have a cancellation period
its in the contract you signed upon joining
cancellation by email? always by letter using a signed for service and check its been received0 -
Bannatynne's staff will say and do anything to tie you into a contract, extend your membership, or make the small print smaller. Do not believe anything you are told by their staff either, many people have been caught out by sales staff giving reassurances only to quote the contract small print once there is a problem. Bottom line is don't trust these people they have no moral or ethical backbone, all they want is your signature and your money.0

Can't you just phone them up and say 'Let me tell you where I am, I'm out'.The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

I would send them a copy of the email by post confirming that you cancelled.
You will have to pay for the 3 months cancellation period but it should be from December not now.
I find it really unlikely that they didn't receive the email. What are they saying happened to it?Wedding 5th September 20150 -
email them asking about taking out a 5 year top package
when they reply ask them why the hell they didnt get the 1st email0 -
You could always request a copy of the files they have for you under the Data Protection Act which will cost you up to £10. There is a good chance your email will show on it or they will realise you will see it and agree to back date the cancellation...0
