hi all a little help for my mum please

hi there
this morning my mum recieved a letter telling her mortgage endowments shortfall at the end of the mortgage and advising her that she should claim if she can.
so the advisor was barrat financial advisor, the morgage is with lloyds tsb, and the shortfall(as in the letter) by 16/2/2019 will be £34,150.
i dont know what she has to do or where she has to go etc, but said would find out for her.
can anyone advise me on where she should start please?

Whether she can claim depends on whether she was mis-sold the endowment. Did she know it may not pay off the mortgage? When did she take it out? When is it due to end? How many previous annual 'red' warning letters has she had advising of the shortfall? I'd be surprised if this is the first one, given the size of the shortfall.

the mortgage was taken out 1993 or 94
yes they were mis sold it.
and as far as i am aware this is the first red one?
