Hello, does anyone know how or where I can get a replacement printer cartridge for a Dell 725 inkjet printer?
I want to get one without the postage fees! but not sure where would sell them besides ordering them from the Dell website and they are £17.25 which is more then I can afford at the moment. I saw in my local Tescos that Tesco do sell cheaper versions, but do not have any instore or online
not sure what they point in them advertising it was...
Just wondering if there are any others I can use that are not as expensive, or is the best thing to do to start saving?

Not the ideal printer if you are doing a lot of script, most newer ones have a separate black cartridge.
Looks like Dell is the place to go p&p is included.

Cheapest I could find on a quick Google was £14.49 p&p included. Note that the 810 model is the same cart. None on Fleabay.

I would be putting my spare coppers into a jar to save for a new printer. Whenever buying a printer always check the price of replacement ink. Printers themselves are very cheap generally, this is because they are subsidised by manufacturers so that they can make their profits at the consumable (ink) end.
It's best to stick with the major players like HP, Canon and Epson as there are many companies around who do compatable refills. The printer manufacturers try to frighten peolple away from copies saying the ink is inferior etc etc but it is a load of bull.
I have never used a HP original cart in my HP printer and we do a lot of printing for my wife's Brownie pack and I have never ever had a problem with compatable carts from various (cheapest) sources.
Original HP carts for my printer are around £27. I get them on Fleabay 2 for £10 !!!
One other tip when chosing a printer is to look for one that has seperate cartridges for black and colour. I see yours is a combined one which is wasteful when printing out black only.
Good luck!

The site recommended by sidath looks expensive to me.
e.g. Genuine HP cartridges
HP56 - £18.40
HP57 - £30.58
You'll find these cheaper in your local supermarket!
Any connection with the site, sidath - it's just you've advertised them twice in this thread and once in another and you only have 4 posts in total?
Edit: post appears to have been removed - I guess that answers the question"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Sidath also seems to plug them rather a lot
I found these good http://www.inkredible.co.uk/
They do HP, Brother, Epson0 -
Heres the price at The Ink Factory, but if you use them go thru Quidco for 17.5% cashback. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0
