got an unsecured debt to a hotel for a functionlast november, they issued a bill for goods not even used by us, along with another persons bar tab, another guests room, meals for more than who were there, roof was leaking on guests that were eating, anyway, we disputed the amount of bill, they got a judgment for non payment against us at our old address then we received judgment at new address sohad no way of disputing it, letter arrived today saying 7 days to pay or bailiffs will call, WHAT CAN WE DO, can we go back to small claims court saying we didnt know about case until judgement and facts that most of bill is not ours, what about the bailiffs?

Did you dispute the amount in writing?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
with the hotel we did yes, with the court, they did it online with northampton court, not the local court, i rang the court and they said we had chance to dispute it before the judgment was made, we never knew anything about it though till after the judgment was made. No way are bailiffs coming in my house,0

You're right, DO NOT let them in at all!

amazing, just got off the phone with the court that issued the judgemnt, who informed me it was done online, not through court, they confirmed it was the comany running away with it and not giving chance for us to respond, therefore they are sending forms out to fill in saying we are allowed to have judgement set aside etc, stop the bailiffs and be able to show our defence on this, which is a good thing. Just got to get the forms filled in and filed now. court officer confirmed its a sly way of companies to behave, so people beware they can do this.0
