He was imprisoned for four months - so beware!
Four months? Mmmmm......£50,000......might be worth it......:rotfl:

if it was you that was supposed to get the 21k and it didnt appear you wouldnt be happy and kicking up a fuss, probably what the person who was supposed to get it is doing right now and as we all know banks dont believe anything we say untill its proven in triplicate, so infact the other person might be fighting at the moment to get there money back..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -

You do indeed make an excellent point. On the other hand, many pension funds, for safety reasons, have been increasing their holdings in government bonds - which the government were having no trouble in selling at around 3.69%..........0 -
A few years back I had £1,000,000 put into my savings account. It was only there for a few hours but made me £70 interest. It was a savings account I did not use so only found out when I received my yearly statement. Anyway, atleast I can say that I have been a millionaire :j0

I heard on the news the other day that a man had been jailed for keeping some money that was put into his account by mistake ....so beware !!"The time is always right to do what is right"0

as long as you do not move the money,or spend, and you have no intent to deceive or
gain by the mistake, leave the money in situ,it is their mistake and they must rectify it,intent is the key word, what is your intentTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -

Your not jailed for their mistake you are jailed for using that mistake to your advantage and trying to deprive the rightful owner of their money!0

I have heard that some people are receiving credits to their bank accounts which they don't know about - but are correct
some rebates for water/gas/electric
obviously not for large sums, but i wouldn't mind
I heard of a story in a local bank - a cashier added an extra 0 when a persons account was being credited with their weekly wages over the counter. The persons who's account it was withdrew all the money. Her boss then knew she wasn't so honest and said if she didnt pay it back to the bank they would sack her for dishonesty.0 -
