Majestic Wine, some great deals on beer.

I buy most of my beer from Majestic Wine Warehouse because they are a lot cheaper than the supermarkets.
For example, tonight I bought a St Peter's ale collection box for £15. That's organic ale, golden ale, best bitter and ruby ale, 3 bottles of each. Really nice beer.
They've also got an offer on 2 x 12 bottles of London Pride for £30, ie: £1.25 per bottle.
Well worth a look.

St Peter's collection isn't online for some reason. £15 for 12 bottles anyway.Happy chappy0 -
speaking of paulaner,
was in a beer keller in glasgow the other week, ordered a few paulaner for myself and friends, and got the Oktoberfest stuff instead! woohoo!

The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.

I took a look at the deals on line and they didnt seem nearly as good as "Home Bargains" or Netto. However I've sometimes be known to splash out on the 4 for £5 deal in Morrisons. The new Adnams Explorer is well worth a taste. Sometimes Asda do a heavily reduced beer, currently it is MEAN IPA at 78p (330ml) 4.8% ABV not as good as a few weeks ago they had Morelands Tanners Jack 500ml 4.4% ABV for 78p.

Best ever bargain: Rugby shirts (seconds) @ 20p0 -
I'd also recommend Morrisons for beer.
Pretty much all of their beers/ales are 4 for £5 and there's normally a good selection with a couple of different "guest" beers every month.0 -
do any of the supermarkets sell Paulaner weissbier?Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

I always go to Threshers for my bottled beers. They constantly have a wide selection on offer at 4 for £5 including Marston's Firestoker, Hobgoblin, and Fursty Ferret to name but a few.
Should be more places to buy from now too as they've just taken over all of the branches of Unwins.0 -
at some point 1 or more of the supermarkets sell 24 bottles of bud, grolsch, becks ,carlsberg extra for about £12. case of 24 cans again from a supermarket shouldn't cost you much over £12 for a 'reasonable' lager. bitter is always more difficult aldi did ( possibly still do ) shipstones draught which was ok. boddingtons draught is sometimes on offer 24 cans for between £12 and £15pdoff wrote:as u all seem to know your beer perhaps u could help me out? i need to get some in for my son's christening but am on a limited budget. am gonna get a few bottles of wine, some lager & some beer but as i don't drink much i wondered what was the nicest, cheapest (!) to buy?! there is a home bargains near us, is this the cheapest place? thanks in advance for any assistance!
keep your eyes open in most of the major supermarkets...home and bargain did have boddingtons on offer0 -
If you want good lager than I recommend Bitteburger or Pilsner Urquel from Majestic.
Bud, becks, carlsberg, carling etc is not good lager. Think fizzy washing up liquid, whereas proper German lager only has 4 ingredients by law.
The big supermarkets do do good deals on lagers occasionally.
Oranjeboom is cheap and quite nice (£3 for 4 cans at Tescos).
Ale wise
I also rate Badger Beers Tanglefoot (cheap in cans and a nice beer).
Fullers London Pride in bottles (Tescos had 4 for £5 offer)Happy chappy0
