This bundle offers Virgin Broadband and mobile BB but you dont have to get them in the same transaction, and if you do it by telephone as I did you will be redirected by Virginmedia to another number for Virginmobile to get the mobile BB.
This deal can be done on the internet from the above links, but note that in addition to BB, and mobile BB you will also need to set up virgin landline telephone.

The free modem ends on 26th Feb, unclear if the £5 deal will still be available.

Note - contract 12 months, 1GB use in 1 month. £15 for each subsequent 1GB Compare this with 3 who charge £1 per MB over the allocated bandwidth.

Its also possible to up the monthly rate to £15 for 3GB, and Virgin will allow you to drop this back to £5 with one month notice. This can be useful if you can predict increased use for a few months.
