Has anyone sold their endowment ?

We are looking at cashing in our endowment as we are going onto a full repayment mortgage. We have already taken out insurance to cover this. We have been thinking about selling the policy but would like some information from someone who has done it first to get a better idea of what happens.

Hi there. I had an endowment mortgage for around 10 years and then came into a lump sum of money and thought I should pay off the mortgage - so I cashed it in mid 2007. I got a pitiful sum for it but to be honest, I wanted to be rid of it so was prepared to bite the bullet. I can check my paperwork but I send the details to some broker who offer the endowment to their contacts. I got three 'bids' for it - accepted one and sold it on. Pieclet - thanks for the post. That would be great if you could. We are wanting to use the endowment to pay off a loan and the more we get for it the better.
