HI
I did the council tax banding assessment as shown by this website and my house is currently in band B, on my street most people are on B the odd few on A or C. I live in a semi detached. At one point it was a detached but I think years ago may be 60 years ago it was converted to a 2 semi's. My neighbours banding is an A?!!!!!!!! Her house is pretty much the same size as ours. When I did the valuation based on the 1991 house prices our house according to that should be in band D lol.
so what does everyone reckon I should do challenge the council or leave it just incase they increase my banding or even the neighbours banding?
thanks

Without knowing the figures you've used, the history of neighbour's band, whether houses are exactly the same, it's impossible to say!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
