Need to Re-Mortgage - Mortgage Cover

Hi There
I am coming to the end of my current fixed rate, and need to re-mortgage. I have Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover for my current mortgage. It has entered my head that I could lose my job in the coming months (though no real indication of it, yet.)
If I re-mortgage, does my mortgage cover basically become invalid and then have to be re-negotiated? I am concerned I will be left for a short period of time not covered by mortgage protection, when I re-mortgage in the near future.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

As long as you keep paying the premiums you should be covered.

Hi
The mortgage cover is with a third party insurer. I phoned them, and they said that the policy is completely transferrable, so problem solved ;-)
Thanks for your help.0
