Im very pleased with my copy, its making my mouth water - thank you Martins Doll so much xx
Comping addict since 2007 - still waiting for 'the big one' :j
  • Only two left when I hit my local Morrisons at 11.30... the promotions girl was packed up and ready to leave by 11.40. Lots of afternoon shoppers will be disappointed.

But a super cookbook, very happy with it.

I got the last copy at 12.15 in my 'local' ( well, it's acutally15 minutes drive but I combined this trip with another vital errand so, in effect, free travel!)

I bet it won't be available in the branch I use but I'll pop in just incase! Thanks for the tip-off!

Well I've had to eat my words (does the book have a tip for how to cook them?) as my local store in Darlington did have the books.

No sign of it when I went in so asked at the Customers Services desk and was told the person who was supposed to be doing the promotion hadn't turned up. They were just giving the books to people when they bought the paper though.

Picked mine up - its great!

Sidcup branch still had 35 copies left at 1.00pm today, but lady said there were 120 this morning, people were queueing up for them at the store opening time.

Thanks OP, I'm really pleased. Be even more pleased when I'm eating the food that DH has promised to cook from it ;)

Absolutely great spot, OP! :money: Very impressed by the book and, incidentally, the paper. Not my usual Sunday paper but some great stuff in it (and more pictures than I thought there'd be :o :rotfl: )

I went to the nearest Morrissons near me ( Glastonbury) and got my paper and book. As I was walking away I heard the assistant talking to the promotions man saying that people were just taking the book without buying the paper. Reminded me of a lady I worked with some years ago whose husband would go to the supermarket ( same one actually !) and buy the News of the World and take the suplements from all the other Sunday papers , tuck them inside and just pay for the NOTW!! I bet Amazon and E-Bay are full of them now!! Nice book though. I am sending it to my son as he is just starting to learn to cook.
  • thanks for this, called in my local morrisons (Ipswich) on the way out this morning and picked one up.
