do you have to book a facial to get one

A few people have posted that they didn't have to book a facial, but in most cases it seems you do.

Hmmm looks like posting the printable voucher has come back to bite the genuine MC readers on the bum. I bought MC for the Neals Yard & Origins bits & popped into John Lewis Southampton to collect the Origins bit..... Ladies behind the counter were saying that they are getting loads of printed ones & they're miffed as they have no way of checking if they actually bought the magazine.... Sounded like they were not going to accept the printed ones anymore. Maybe this will allow the genuine people who spent £3.50 odd on the mag to receive the offer which they are entitled to!!!

The Marie Claire website does say, though, that you can either buy the magazine or print the page from the site. They must know that lots of people read the mag online, instead of buying it- that's what I do. So all readers are entitled to the offer..... Maybe they should've thought out the offer a bit more, if the aim was to sell more magazines!

I didnt find that I had to book the facial in order to get the free scrub- in fact I asked for the facial.
I am sorry that people are missing out because of the massive take up by printed coupons- but that is the nature of freebies I generally find. By the way, I HAVE brought the mag- love the smell of the Frankincense cream but not sure if its too strong on my sensitive skin- feels a bit tight this morning. BUT- nothing ventured nothing gained as they say!!
I agree with what one poster recommends about ringing Origins Customer services to ask if other stores are doing the promotion- if they are not, play on the dissapointment factor and see if they send you something as a gesture of goodwill. I know its cheeky but if you dont ask you dont get (this is a philosophy I am rapidly becoming more in favour of after a lifetime of letting things pass me by because I was backwards in coming forwards!)
    lovin' this site!

I wasn't too keen on having the facial but I had to have one to get the scrub sample. I've just come back and the facial was fantastic - try and get one if you can.

They told me that's it usually £15 for a facial redeemable against purchase. So if you fnd that you like the scrub and are going to buy it again, you can basically have a free facial every time!

(Also worth nothing that the Origins lady in John Lewis Cambridge is VERY generous with the samples

i didn't need to book a facial to get mine either, but decided to book one (why settle for one freebie when you can have two!). Just had it this afternoon and it was marvellous - had the Dr Weil one. It was so relaxing and just lovely to have 30 mins of pampering after finishing work.

Ah mate, thats gutting- have you called up mOrigins customer service? find out if there are any others near you, and when you have the facial, maybe mention that you bought MC just for the offer- you never know, they may save you one if they get any more in/give you something else insted, worth a try anyway!

Aw, thanks. I did exactly that, (don't give up easy lol) and last night printed out the local stores/counters then rang around today. Got a facial booked tomorrow and hopefully they'll hold back sample for me.

My skins really funny with stuff like this but i'm looking for a cheaper alternative to what i'm currently using so it's a great way to try.

If you check the original link it's now reverted to magazine buyers only - no mention of printing the voucher from the webpage - but still a really good offer.
