    So do you think it wont be totally impossible to get a higher mortgage?

    Is it true that when my fixed rate finishes with NR i will go straight onto the variable rate without a credit check?

    Citizens' Advice.

    No-one can tell you if it is possible or impossible. We don't know whether you will be debt free, with a 10% deposit and an improved credit score by then. We also don't know what lenders' criteria will be. All you can do is do your best to pay off all your bills, and not miss payments or get into arrears in the meantime.

    You will go straight onto the variable rate without a credit check when your fixed rate ends, as per your mortgage agreement.
