Hi all,
I've been searching for a copy of the BNF for Children for my girlfriend who is a mental health nurse - she has them at work obviously, but it's handy to have one at home for reference. It's quite an expensive book, and we have usually got them second hand from ebay for about £10-15, and even then not the most recent version.
Looking on ebay, for the 2008 (latest) they are selling for around £15, and it's £28.45 on Amazon if you want to buy it new from them - however, if you look at the 'Used & New' section on Amazon, there are sellers offering them new for as little as £3.50 + 2.75 p&p. I'm half tempted to buy a few and stick them on ebay, if it wasn't for the postage being £2.75 per item with no savings on multiple purchases!
This may be a bit of an obscure post when it's quite a specialist book, but I have seen people mentioning them on the forum before for their own personal reference, so I'm sure it will be of use to someone out there.

I've always found that GP surgeries, and pharmacists will give away less recent editions for free if you ask nicely enough, but this is a good deal if you have to buy one0

Depending on your occupation, certainly as a clinician, you can access eBNF for free. Its updated regularly unlike the print version especially regarding MHRA and drug alerts etc.0

If she speaks to the pharmacy dept. at her workplace, they will probably let her have an old one when the new ones are published. It will be up to date enough and, as mentioned above, yoa have access to eBNF online.0
