Muffin Tray for baking pies?

Hi,
I want to try my hand at baking meat pies and I don't have any specific pie baking trays and don't have the funds to buy them at the moment. I was wondering if I could use my non-stick muffin tray and just bake party size pies?

es my non-stick muffin tray idea sound any good and do i grease the tray?

Sounds fine to me. I used my Yorkshire pudding tray to make mini quiches

and if your muffin tins don't work then how about pasties, a circle of pastry, stick the filling on it and fold over.
