Pension advise

I've been contributing to my pension for the last several months now but the news came through recently that I have been made redundant. Tbh i'm not to disheartened and I didn't enjoy the job that much and i'm now seriously considering going to Canada for a while.

Anyway as I'm hopefully going to Canada what will happen to my pension? Is it just frozen? Do I have to withdraw it? Do I still have to make contributions?
Do I have to transfer it to a specific account for pensions - are there specific accounts to put pensions in when you travel abroad for a certain period of time?

My pension is currently with Freinds Provident if that helps.

Thanks

You can usually just suspend contributions for a while. The pension will remain invested and should benefit from recovery down the track. You can reactivate it on your return.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
