Loan PPI Problem/Question

I have a loan with smile that is due to end around 2012, I got it out a few years back.

Now I moved home and have lost all the paperwork regarding the loan and I with the whole PPI problems etc I wanted to check the original details of my existing loan. I called up smile and asked for the agreement and was advised that it would take a few weeks to get out to me.

That was 2 months ago, I called back 2 weeks and was told again that it had already been requested and sent - but they would re-issue and re-send, again still nothing. I've sent them an e-message this evening to check on the progress.

Is there anything I can do to get them to hurry up on getting my agreement? Besides complaining, I can't think of anything else I can do. It surely doesn't take 8+ months to get a copy of a loan agreement.

Hi there

When you request a copy of the agreement, they should supply this within 12 days, however that is with enclosing a payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment.

Going back to your agreement issues, you could also contact the information commissioners office (ICO) to see what they suggest here:

If you go to the PPI reclaiming forums, there is an SAR (Subject Access Template) letter you can use to request everything they have on you, they have 40 days to comply, for this one there is a cost of £10 cheque or postal order payment, post by recorded delivery.
