I did this for my son a couple of years ago I bought a pair of y fronts and sewed them to the outside of a pair of jogging bottoms, then i bought a cheap white t shirt and wrote captain underpants on the front in black pen, then I used a old red t shirt for the cape at the back, i sewed it onto the neck of the t shirt. He loved it and it didnt cost very much to do either, the y fronts were easily taken off the jogging bottoms aswell so he could use them afterwards0

My favourite book day outfit that I have seen was a boy who came as the gingerbread man made out of a cardboard box - I then borrowed the idea for halloween for myself!0
