Regarding why 11 o'clock was chosen!

    There are two major reasons

    i. More users are online during the day than in the evening. Most people access this site from work rather than home. The most popular time is 1 until 2, however i wanted to give this a full day

ii. The people at Moneywise controlling the numbers given away have to manually close the offer, therefore doing it during a working day makes this more possible if there's a big rush.

I'm sorry some of you don't like the time. Actually i suspect that doing it this way the demand will be lower and they will probably last for a good 24 hours - so no one should have a problem. There is no 'right time to do this'. If you do it in the evening then all those who don't have home access miss out, do it in the day all those who don't have work access miss out. The decision is arbitrary, but based on giving access to the majority of users

I put this in martins blog replys the other week I thought it was so funny at the time. We all know what dentist waiting rooms are like and how quiet they are.
Well I was sitting in the dentist waiting room flicking through some magazines, I picked up one called Moneywise, My 3 year old daughter was next to me, as I turned the page I came across Martins page, she shouted out at the top of her voice "MARTIN !!!!!, DADDY IT'S MARTIN."

Plus the tv was on today she came to get me daddy martins on tv
Don't be daft it's morning tv, Martins not a morning person.
Sure enough she was right there Martin was on Channel 5

Must agree with Martin on the Tesco and George G in the BB house issue.

I used to subscribe to this magazine, and think it's really good.

It is a little heavy going in places, but thoroughly worth a good read.

  • Thanks Martin I'm on half-term at the moment - one of the great perks of my career. Shame I have to go on holiday during peak time, but hey you can't have it all. At least I will be on my laptop first thing to secure my free copy of 'Moneywise'. Great photo of you on the front by the way!
Thanks a million for such a fantastic site.....

With the telly on in the background without paying much attention I thought Martin was actually a politican I agreed with... accompanied by some woman and her pet cat.

Now if you can arrange a QuidCo link for asking questions on this forum, that'd be cash for questions. :rotfl:
