  • I symathise with the victim in the case of abandonment. However, when a wife commits adultery, no cogniscence is taken of this fact when maintenance is set.

I think guidelines should be issued that require the mortgage holders to seek mediation. The preferred way forward should be to sell the property without undue delay.

Reading between the lines, he left the house and his recently divorced wife....and has a newborn baby....

He left the home and the dog ...now the dog has to be put down.

Sounds like he left his home, his wife and his dog to start a new life elsewhere. Did the ex wife earn enough to pay all the household bills, care for the dog and pay half the mortgage?

    Two sides to every story.

Although I wasnt asking anyone to judge, I can understand the angle where your coming from but like I expressed earlier on they have been living seperately for some time and split before that (around 2 year ago). Yes he has a new baby now, he has moved on with his life. But he didnt leave his home, wife and dog to start elsewhere like you suggest. And the dog wasnt his, poor thing.
  • How different it might have been if they'd sold two years' ago.
