Roundhay Park - Leeds. Whereabouts ?

Hi All

Hoping to take a trip to Roundhay Park in Leeds from Doncaster but I'm not sure if this park is far from the centre of Leeds ? If I get the train from Doncaster to Leeds, how much would a taxi be from Leeds to Roundhay Park ? I'm guessing it is not walking distance ?

Roundhay Park is about 10 miles from Leeds City Centre. Plus you will be going through some quite dodgy areas to get there, so I would either get a bus or a taxi.

If you got a taxi it would be about £10 to £15, or you could just catch a bus and get a day ticket that lets you travel all over leeds on any first buses for about £3 or £4.

The website tells you everything about the park and how to get there etc, with details of the buses too.

It's quite easy to get to by bus..no.12 & 2 run frequently from the city centre (near the Corn Exchange).

From an MSEer who lives in the 'quite dodgy area':eek: :eek: :eek:
