Endowment sell ?

I have a endowment with axa for 10 years now and need to raise cash, its with profits and surrender value approx £8300 looked at selling on but no one seems to be interested why ? can i take out loan secured on endowment if so who with, any advise appreciated thanks, is partly linked to mortgage so if surrender payments go up £125 month on mortgage, any ideas thanks
