I dont know if this is the right place for this but i need some advice on what digital TV options are open to me. I have a Sky box & dish but have had my service suspended for missing a direct debit payment (long story). I now owe them £89 to have the service resumed but i can't afford this in one go - i am currently having Payplan sort out my finances - so wanted to know if i could just cancel Sky, pay them in instalments and have Freeview for a while. Can i use my existing Sky box for Freeview or do i need to buy a box from them?
Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. :kisses:

if you cancel your existing card will get you the "freesat from Sky" channels (see https://www.freesatfromsky.com). How do you owe them £89 for missing a payment? If the payment is less get them to refund any additional charges to you. Are you out of the 12 month minimum period?0

i missed an instalment due to my bank account being closed - another long story - so now owe last months as well as this months and the charges they add for not paying.
so if i just say i am cancelling my current package and will pay the outstanding debt in a couple of instalments then my service will change to freesat?0 -
I would ask the Budgeting & Current Accounts forum about the charges, someone there may well advise you that they're illegal... good luckThe word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.

depends if you want to close it, and if you can (need to have subscribed for over 12 months!)
If you might want to keep it, ask them to come to some agreement, or threaten to cancel.0
