Hi folks
I've been paying the CSA through DEO for years now.Originally for 2 children at the sum of £92 per month + arrears (CSA morons couldn't find me at address children were born) = £150 per month.
Son joined the army. CSA said £92 per month + arrears = £175
Daughter left School. CSA said £0 per month + arrears = £215
Daughter goes to University, takes me to court for maintenance and court say £120 per month
I cant afford all this
Help please

The csa simply implements legislation and numerous discretions, courts on the other hand look into your actual finances before deciding upon a payment.
Unless your income reduces, it is unlikely that the court would lower the £120pm. The csa are on a drive to recover all arrears in the shortest possible time, you can ask for a reduction but bear in mind they can also set the DEO to 40% of your net earnings.
