No idea how many fillets you get to the kg - but can't imagine it would be that many.

Have you tried the frozen chicken fillets? Tesco have an offer on just now for (I think?) 650g for £2.99, so you'd end up with nearly 2 kg of chicken for the price of 1 kg from Sainsbury
  • You get about 8 to a kg.

Why not buy chicken thighs - my butcher sells them boneless. They're much cheaper than fillets, and have the added advantage of tasting of something :D

    Penny. x

Whichever you decide to buy, make sure you divide them up into useable portions before freezing - a lesson I learned AFTER the event :embarasse:.

I ended up having to cook the whole darn lot in one go - and that was before I had got the hang of batch cooking/freezing. Was an expensive lesson .
