Sometimes these offers are better than others- this is a great one as this book has only just gone into paperback after rave reviews. It is out of stock on amazon at £3.99, but there would be postage.

Child 44 is a thriller set in the terror of 1950s Stalinist Russia, a brutal regime that executed anyone who disagreed with its dogma. It proclaimed to be a perfect society. So, when a series of brutal murders take place, no one is permitted to say that these are the work of a serial killer. In a perfect society there can be no crime.
One man, Leo Demidov, a State security agent, a man who has spent his entire career arresting innocent men and women, decides to redeem himself by catching this killer. To do so, he must buck the system, risking his life and the life of everyone he loves.

That sounds a good book. I'm a miser though, despite having 4 bookcases stuffed full of books and the kids have one that's fulkl plus tons of books away in the wardrobes, I have stopped buying books full stop and get em from the library;) I am becoming meaner with old age:rotfl:
Only trouble with new ones is waiting. I just managed to get Jeffrey Archer's Prisoner of Birth last week at long last. But boy was it worth the wait.:T

I shall keep a look out for that one. :D

In the English Sun, there is only one cheque no, being 2319. Have only just noticed this, so hope people who are actually playing arent getting numbers wrong. Will check again tomorrow.

So far as I know it's only if you buy the book at the same time as The Times, I don't think there's a voucher anywhere in the paper to send off, but I've never looked that closely.

It says P&P applies but doesn't say how much, I assume it's online only as there is no mention of collect in store.

If anyone has cheque number 2041 please PM me your address and I will post the paper to you to help you with a claim. I did think it was odd that there was two cheque numbers but I thought it better to put them both on the forum because I didnt want anyone to miss out on a cheque for £50,000.

Sorry but why would people be getting numbers wrong as far as I can see the Captain Crunch numbers are up to date, I can only write what is printed in the paper if I could make a number or two up I would I am down to one number in two places, the groceries for a year would be very nice but the £50 spending money would also be good

I weren't saying you were making numbers up. I was just pointing out that the scottish sun is sometimes different to the english sun and that if the scottish sun has been putting extra cheque numbers in compared to the english version, then people in england might think theyve won when they havent, IYSWIM. I hadnt noticed it before though, so might just be a one day thing. :D
