Brown wastes more of our tax pounds on Labour propaganda website

This is nothing but spin, blame and propoganda.. There are also BBC reports that help given by other political parties has been taken off the site, such as help given in SNP areas.
All this, on a .gov.uk domain, funded by the taxpayer, really, isnt good news....but, I guess to be expected from these lot.
How people can vote for them when they do things such as this, and block the release of the minutes today because "its not in our interests" and "would ruin the democratic process" really, is beyond me. I guess some do get completely brainwashed.
As for the actual tone of writing on this site, he really is aiming this at those who CAN be brainwashed with some of the words used. Could he dumb it down and spin it anymore?0 -

"Most seriously, though, Cable blames Brown for letting a housing market bubble inflate unchecked, with potentially serious consequences for indebted households and wider economic stability. 'The worst hasn't happened yet, but you've got all the ingredients for a real mess here. You just need higher interest rates, or a serious slowdown in the economy, and we'd be in trouble.'
He attributes this 'mismanagement' partly to the 'carve-up of Britain' between Tony Blair and his Chancellor. He says this has led to many policy areas - including pensions, for example - being simply 'parked in a layby'. 'It's highly dysfunctional,' he says."
And how exactly was Cable going to stop house prices rising? shoot first time buyers?0 -
LOL - and I just thanked Mewbie on another thread for picking up on your typo or misspelling. Well I thanked him for his funny way of doing it, rather than because it was you, I hasten to add.:o
I meant financially - I'm trying to remember; did you work for Labour for a while, then go to the private sector? Or are you actually know working in the Cabinet Office or suchlike?
I'm gives me great pleasure to report that as a student, I worked for an MP in return for zilch (not even expenses). Other than that, I've never worked anywhere other than the private sector.0 -

The MP had gave all his expense allowances to his wife and children for zilch work so there was no money in the pot left for you!?
Speaking of which, why did the Labour party want to exempt MPs expenses from freedom of information act?

People wouldn't understand you see. It's all legitimate really, just doesn't look it.0 -
This is a Soviet masterpiece. Every click leads you to another government propoganda website. If you want proof that this is politically biased consider this:
Click on the Wales information and you get directed to the Welsh Assembly Government website, LABOUR want to find out about Scotland? you dont arrive at the Scottish Nationalist controlled Parliamentary website but straight to the LABOUR Secretary of State for Scotland website.0 -
They could have imposed capital gains tax on houses owed for less than a given time frame (maybe 10 years) thereby killing the bubble stone dead. And how exactly was Cable going to stop house prices rising? shoot first time buyers?
Heard this idea on the radio today, apparently polliticians tend to blanch at the idea and bottom lips start to wobble at the throught of upset voters no longer making fortunes from bricks and mortar.0 -
