BMI Baby - FlyBMI

Hey,

I regurlarly fly with BMI Baby from Aberdeen to Birmingham for the weekend to see my girlfriend and it roughly costs about £80, but at the end of March I have to book through Fly BMI and the same flight costs about £125.

£130 is probably not a lot for a flight when you think about it, but I wanted to know how / why BMI would increase the cost of a flight by about 33% with the current situation.

No idea when the school holidays are ... but it's not the end of term is it?
Flight prices can often shoot up then due to demand for easter breaks etc.

I've had the same thing with Flybe...normally costs around £80 Aberdeen to London Gatwick, but when I tried to book last week for a flight at the beginning of May it was asking for over £120? No freakin' way am I paying that much! Unfortunately, BA no longer to the Aberdeen-Gatwick route, so Flybe is all that's left, but I'd rather take an 8 hour train journey than pay over £100 for an hour long flight!

Easter is about 12th April.

Summer half term is at the end of May.
